Congratulations to the Skylark Acrobats who have returned from a successful trip to the Vegas Acro Cup.
Mixed pair Dylan and Jaz placed 2nd overall and women’s group Madlen, Tegan and Ava placed 7th.
This was the first international competition for most of the acrobats and competing alongside other countries was a great learning experience and confidence boost.
Outside of the competition the squad had an amazing time exploring Vegas, from handstands at Caesars Palace to stocking up on chocolate at the multi-level M&M’s world.
The non-competition highlight of the trip was getting to watch O by Cirque du Soleil and being invited backstage. The acrobats got to meet the performers and see all the backstage mechanics of how the show comes together.
It was a great trip, and we’re so proud of all the athletes. We can’t wait to do it all again next year.
